Menningar- og minningarsjóður kvenna, Women’s Culture and Commemoration Fund, calls for applications for grants 2020.
This year, the fund will award general scholarships and encourages women who are studying at all school levels to apply.
The application deadline is September 6th, 2020.
The applicant shall enclose a short essay on why she should receive the scholarship, as well as information about the study program and timetable for its progress. The applicant shall also submit official confirmation of admission from the school.
Applications need to be submitted before midnight on September 6th, 2020. Scholarships will be announced on September 27th, 2020. All applications will be answered.

Menningar- og minningarsjóður kvenna – Women’s Culture and Commemoration Fund was established in 1941 in memory of Bríet Bjarnhéðinsdóttir.
The fund’s primarily role is to encourage women to study, both in Iceland and abroad, with scholarships and travel grants. Furthermore, the fund gives grants to women to write or awards essays, especially on social issues relating to women’s interests. Grants from the fund are awarded once a year.
